Cocktail clubs in Belgrade: where to find them and what to expect
"Cocktail club" means something specific in Belgrade — not a nightclub with a cocktail list, but an intimate bar where the drinks are the point: house infusions, a serious bartender, a room built for conversation rather than a dance floor. Here's where the city's cocktail culture actually lives, and how to choose.
Where the cocktail scene is
Three neighbourhoods hold most of Belgrade's cocktail bars:
Vračar — the most walkable and residential of the three, leafy and unhurried, clustered around the Temple of Saint Sava and Kalenić market. This is where Čin Čin sits, on Radoslava Grujića. Good for a slow, grown-up evening.
Dorćol — the old bohemian quarter near the river, denser and more bar-hopping-friendly, with a mix of cocktail spots and wine bars.
Cetinjska — a former brewery turned courtyard of bars and clubs; louder, later, more of a crawl than a sit-down.
What a cocktail club night costs
Signature cocktails run 750–1,100 RSD (about €6.50–9.50) — roughly half of Western Europe. At Čin Čin the list is 750–990 RSD. A two-person evening with a few drinks and a snack lands around 5,500–7,000 RSD all in. For a full breakdown see our 2026 price guide.
How to pick the right one
Ask three questions. Do you want to talk or to dance? (Cocktail clubs are for talking.) Classic cocktails, or the kind of drinks a bar makes from scratch? Neighbourhood energy — residential Vračar, bohemian Dorćol, or party Cetinjska? Answer those and the choice narrows fast.
What a good one feels like
Low light, a bartender who asks what you like rather than handing you a laminated list, and no rush to turn the table. At Čin Čin that means red velvet, drinks built on things we infuse ourselves — the smoke-served Serbian Breakfast and the Midnight Pearls in an edible sphere, and an organic orange-wine list for when you're between rounds. We're open Tuesday–Sunday from 18:00 in Vračar — book a table on weekends.
A word on timing
Belgrade cocktail bars fill late — 22:00 onward on weekends. Arrive by 20:00–21:00 for a proper seat at the bar and the bartender's full attention, or book ahead.
